how do i kill my rev limiter on my 88 rocco 16v???

Hey guy,
    I know this for certain because my old FPR died.  I bought a new one =
from the local import parts store and a few days later about planted my =
forehead into the steering wheel when I hit the limiter for the first =
time.  If you look at the part number on the relay there is a letter on =
the end that represents what revision it is.  Everything built after a =
certain letter has the cutoff in its circuitry.  I can't tell you what =
letters have it, but that you cannot buy a new relay without it.  The =
only way to get one is from a yard from and at least a 84 or older car =
as my car didn't originally have one.  I don't think my 85 rocco did =
either but It never spun like my race car so I don't know for sure.

  Ahh that would makes sense now why i've never hit the rev limiter =
becuase not long after getting my rocco I had fuel pump relay issues and =
I swapped one from an old cabbie that was in the junkyard.
