Rocs and Rabs in the Fog 2K3 2/23/03 - SF Bay Area - Details

Eric Borsky (badass cabby) will be the main organizer of this gig.. the
last one we did in October was a huge success, about 23 cars, all A1's
(strict requirement!), about 50/50 between dot-org members and the other
half being of the Rabbit/Cabby/Caddy persuasion. Be there if you can -
a guaranteed good time! I'm going to leave Orange County on Friday
night, crash in Summerland (Santa Barbara) that night, then head up the
coast on Saturday morning - if anyone wants to join me, lemme know.
Cruise is actually on Sunday.

Meeting time: 10:00 AM
Meeting place: Holiday Inn Express (160 Shoreline Ave Mill Valley CA
94941)

EricB office 415-389-5533 (up to Friday 6:00 PM)
EricB cell 415-713-0981 (after 10:00AM Sun 2/23)
Talkabout Rabbit/Gruppe frequency: 4.1
(anyone with cell phones PLEASE forward those numbers to me so I can
make up a list beofre this weekend, with the size of this group and the
likelyhood we will be out of Talkabout range for part of it cell contact
will be very useful!)

 From Southbay:

NB 101 to Mill Valley/Stinson Beach exit, as you exit the freeway you
are on Shoreline Highway. Look for the Holiday Inn Express sign just
after you drive under the freeway overpass (well, it's really a
bridge...), right turn into the parking area (it should be the first
possible turn after you drive below the freeway and come through a
signal intersection).

From Northbay (or Sac area if driving west on 580):

SB 101 to Mill Valley/Stinson Beach exit. Follow exit ramp and keep
right. As you drive down a slight hill you approach a signal
intersection with three lanes, use the middle lane (right hand lane for
left turn if that makes sense) and make a left turn onto Shoreline
Highway. Look for the Holiday Inn Express sign just after you make the
turn, right turn into the parking area - it should be the first possible
turn after you come through the intersection.

The plan is for the traditional Gate to Gate to end up in Fairfax (not
the bumpy road to Bolinas, OK? ), with a side trip to the top of Mount
Tam if the weather is nice. According to the current long range forcast
Sunday should be an in-between storms day...hopefully we won't be
driving in the rain but I will be doing the drive rain or shine! Road
conditions will likely be loose and damp, especially on the backside
through the Redwoods, so I suggest a setup that isn't too stiff - be
sure you don't bring slicks or it could get ugly. If we manage to get
rolling before noon we should be all done with food, etc in Fairfax by
around 4PM.

I hope to see the usual faces as well as lots of new ones, can't wait to
see some nice A1s!
