coil-over transferability

ok, I'm looking to buy col-overs for my 75 Rabbit...the question, is that
will I be able to use em on my 87 16V Scirocco?
Just wanting to get my money's worth...make sure that, heaven forbid,
something happens to the bunny, I'm able to move a fair amount of the good
stuff over to the scirocco.
