Sooo Scotty, (and now that I found that you aren't the orignial
carrot/vagina searcher, the heat is off), I think as you do. (AFA
vehicle weight).

So here's what I want to do...build a custom ratio 4-speed and install
my Quaife into it. I still daily drive this thing, but little highway.
 I'll use a 3.89 FD. All 020's have a 3.45 1st. If I can shorten a 5
spd. mainshaft, I'll be able to use a 1.75, 1.94, or 2.12 2nd, and
whatever 3rd and 4th I choose. And save a solid 20 lb., all off the
front end (my bathroom scale told me!).

This will be behind a 2.0L 16V, which I figure will have the torque to
pull through the naturally wider gear spacing. Thoughts/feedback?
