speedo musings



I did put graphite in the speedo mechanism. I now have several black numbers
on the odometer.

John, I think it's all related to the same cause: the metal square inside
the speedo cable rubbing harshly against where it meets cluster.  In my
case, a little lube stopped it.  Seems in your case, the cable was placing
it at an angle that resulted in the noise.
