volkswagen rice ??
Volkswagen has manufacturing facilities in China. Jettas and Santanas
(Passats). For having visited China, and ridden in several of these
Volkswagen, I can tell you they feel more like Ladas than VWs. The interiors
are pretty basic, and the quality of assembly is a bit scarry. They still
are high end vehicles in China, as what else is on the road over there is
pretty amasing. Imagine an old chevy pick up truck, but without any sheet
metal, like a frame, motor, a wooden cargo box behind the driver, a steering
wheel, and a wooden bench. And away they go!
