Louvers

I got one of those.  In the rafters of the garage.  The wiper version (mine) 
actually stands off the glass more than the non-wiper version.  It has two 
tubes running down the inside that turns at the ends and rests against the body 
at the bottom of the hatch (paint wear).  I can't remember if I had any 
rattling problems (it's been many years since it's been on the car)  It has hinges at 
the to allow you to "open" it to clean the glass.  Don't know if these models 
have the same features or not.  I think I paid an outrageous $70 for it, new 
(1980).  Didn't think anyone still made them.

Looks like an alternative to filming the rear glass.
