Motorola alternators

Hey list,

Quick Q -- I'm trying to sell my brother's Rabbit Diesel for him and the
alternator has started flaking out. The alt. warning light comes on
faintly at various rpms and during acceleration/deceleration. I recognize
this to be a symptom of worn out brushes. I changed the brushes ~4 years
ago in my Bosch alternator just by unscrewing and replacing the regulator,
piece of cake.

But I have no experience with Motorola alts and it's not quite apparent
from looking at it how the brushes are replaced.

Anyone?
