Non Scirocco Related - advice on Beetle purchase

Hopefully Cathy (other resident Beetle TDI owner) will speak up on this.

I had a 2000 Golf GL TDI.  They have issues, but nothing major.  MAFs do die, but there are good deals for those on www.tdiclub.com, and I had a glow plug harness issue (seemed common at the time, didn't affect the car, just gave me a CEL).

TDIs are amazing engines...and if the price is truely right (like less than $10k) I'd hop all over it if I were you....just don't ask about changing headlight bulbs on the New Beetle.... ;-)
