need help for a friend

last time I heard knocking in the wheel area on a honda it was a cv joint
about to self destruct ( on my neice's car) do a few tight turns in a
parking lot forward and backwards to see if youi can reproduce the knocking)

My friend has a newer Honda accord. She said she's heard a knocking sound
from the left front tire area. It's only happened 2x and it sounds similiar
to a hollow drum. I know when someone replies, I'll go Ohhh yeah, that's it!
Suggestions as to what it is? And would it be okay to drive?
