best cam?

Perf=performance but I get your idea. Basically, I'm interested in relatively smooth idle, keeping stock springs and being decent for a DD that won't see a ton of highway action. Canyon running yes, interstates no. The rocc has a GTI tb, K&N air filter, 2" exhaust with autotech turbo muffler and no cat, 4-2 headers and I think that's it. It's a JH engine and 4k tranny. * need HD springs** need HD springs and retainers What do the springs and retainers usually run? TT is currently out of stock. If this was something I would seriously consider, I can't drop a ton. I'm pretty much looking to put $500 into the car for now, getting the most bang for the buck possible. Dan

I have an 86 Audi 10 to 1 compression 8V hydraulic in my 1979 Scirocco with a good 2 and half in exhaust. I installed a 272 German cam I bought from AVS in Adna WA and it lit my engine up big time. It is stronger at 2500 and really comes on strong by 3000 and is still going strong when I shift at 6000. To me I don't see how it could be better for a daily driver.
