Does it fit?: 1.8 16V head on ABA 2.0 block

It works, but it will put compression around 8.0:1 which is nice if you
wanna go to forced induction. I don't think it is as involved as some
of the things you've mentioned, but I haven't done the swap so what do I
know. I do believe you can use a timing belt from a 1.8t on this setup.

Subject: Does it fit?: 1.8 16V head on ABA 2.0 block

I've been curious about this for awhile, since i have both of these,
however they are on separate engines (both working, too). I don't want
to find out the hard way if it works or not ;-)

Someone told me once that it was necessary to realign the oil feed
galley for the head by filling it and re-drilling to match the block.
Anyone able to elaborate on this?

If it DOES fit w/o excessive mods, I'm interested in buying a 16V head
(if my car sells I'll have to buy a head).

Thanks to you all you die-hards that have probably already done this
swap already.
