16v model year differences

Could a stock 16v even go that fast? Fastest I've gotten to was 110mph and it wasn't too hard, but that's still a long way off from 160mph.

My 88 didn't have upshift light or oxy counter. I think the speedo went to 140 but I don't remember. I didn't have chrome on my door panels and my headlight switch was the symbol. Heh, I'm amused I can remember the headlight symbol and not the speedo. HTH
