Samco sport hoses for 8v fs

Hey, here's a question: What is the big deal about these darned Samco
radiator hoses? I've only popped about two rad hoses in my life and that was
while brutally overheating my rallycars. Higher quality is always a great
thing, but are these hoses *that* good? Am I missing something? I'm looking
for some education here -not discounting the product's value...

have numbers on.
(from the bottom of the radiator to the water pump and from the coolant
flange on the head to the water pump).
