rev needs help

How are the fuel pumps? transfer & Main, steady hum or erratic buzzing, =
Change the fuel filter, did you get a bad batch of gasoline, try some =
gasline antifreeze (to get the water out).
The hall sender will work fine with a broken plastic clip (just secure =
it with a wire tie, those plastic zip thingys), but if it's more than =
that i.e. chaffed wires or something it probably wouldn't run at all, =
maybye you're out of luck maybye you could rewire it, otherwise new =
distributer is in order, as it's way easier to replace the whole thing =
than trying to replace the hall sender on 16v's IMO.=20
As for the motor shaking, probably a result of the ruff running & broken =
motor mounts.
Ticking noise, yuk, are the spark plug all firmly planted in the head? =
Yes I know sounds stupid but on my 87GTI I popped a plug right out of =
the head. Also in BMW FAQ's I've read a ticking noise from the engine =
can be attributed to loose spark plugs. Not sure of the torque but it =
ins't much, like 16ft-lbs or something.

ok here is the situation, i am the same revjohn as befor. had to =
change my email and stuff. my car is broken 1988 scirocco 16v. ok i =
just bought it so i am going to use my powers to make that persons life =
miserable. the body is perfect, it is really one of the most beautiful =
cars i have seen. Nice wheels and stuff, so i want it running. It ran =
for about 3 weeks in which i smoked several hondas. ok here are the =
problems.
my car wont idle it just dies
motor block vibrates real bad
befor it was broken it idled at 1200rpms
distributor hall sender connector is lose on the part that goes to the =
distributor.
flex pipe is broken from the vibrating, no problem i already have a =
techtonichs downpipe.
making a ticking noise when the engine works
car starts and will drive, but it feels like it is only running on 3 =
cylinders.
i hope someone can help me out. sorry for repeating myself, but i got =
this car for a daily driver. I am taking pics to show you all how =
beautiful it really is. A great credit the the german engineering.
