Well much to my pleasure, the starter from an '85 GTI fit and worked just
fine. Price was right too....$20....yeah!!!
BTW, if anybody's interested, the motor in that GTI looked exceptionally
clean for being 17 Y.O. The boneyard said they'd pull it for $300.00 It's
whatever came stock in a '85 GTI. It's located in central Virginia.
