Lowering Compression?

I've been wondering the same question. The best way (from what I've
seen) is to get forged pistons, but they are not cheap ($600 and upwards
is what I've been seeing). In my case, that puts me way outside of the
budget. Another option I've come across is a $130 headgasket from Bahn
Brenner that reduces compression to 8:1 with OEM pistons
http://www.bahnbrenner.com/bbmservices/16v.html I don't know if anyone
else has a similar product. I also don't know of the risks involved
using such a headgasket, so someone feel free to chime in.

Subject: Lowering Compression?

Whats the best way to lower compression in a 16v engine? Which would be
easier to set up for forced induction, 1.8L or 2.0L? I would like to go
with
a 2L Turbo proj. in the future, however, if 1.8 is the way to go, then
1.8
is the way to go! TIA.
