I don't feel so guilty now, so many of you are just as ill as I am! :)

Anyway, I'm working on the next Scirocco project, mostly major engine
components at
the moment. I've just had Josh (yes, Josh Able and his J's House of
Euro biz) round me
up some of the more 'off-the-wall' pieces I'll be using. Like a new
T3 Super 60 turbo, SDS
engine management, Greddy BOV, and ATP manifold. Other items that are on-deck:
FAT TT exhaust, TIAL wastegate, custom downpipe, Starion intercooler,
custom motor
mounts, custom reinforcements, etc. Too much stuff to list really. :)

The target body is an 87 former 16v. The engine is an ABA 2L from an
A3. Both units
bought from other listers I might add. Boost will be limited to
15psi on top of 8.8:1
compression, my calculations are that it should put down 220+hp at the wheels.

Right now I'm gathering most of the larger obvious parts of the
project (turbo, SEM,
manifolds, etc), and later on early next year is when I'll be getting
into the much
smaller and more mundane items (CV joints, catch tank, A arms, bushings, custom
upper bar, etc, again it's just too much to list). This whole
process is seeming like
one I might have gone through before.

This winter I'm hoping to finish the engine bay cleaning, motor mount prepping,
and painting. Getting the engine installed is the final goal by the end of the
winter, drivable by spring would be awesome. Maybe this project
will only take
me 4 or 5 years to complete, ha!
