OT: anybody have a Porsche 924 before?

Cheap cars seem to be jumping in my path on a regular basis.  I had a 
guy offer me a 924 for almost free.  I realize that the cheap entrance 
fee may be followed by costly annual dues, so I wanted to see if anyone 
has had one of these before.  Currently, the car won't run below 3,000 
rpm and has a dented passenger ft quarter panel.  The interior looks good.
