Speaking from experience (I worked for EuroRail, only outlet in the USA
for European tickets and passes for Rail).  Chunnel = EXPENSIVE.  Take the
ferry instead.  Yes, it takes longer, but MUCH MUCH cheaper.  I seem to
remember $200 alone one way for just you as a passenger, no car transport
included...
