Semi OT-What's the general consensus on plugging one's own auctions?

If it is something neat, rare or universally wanted I think it's OK.  As
long as it done with discretion.  I don't want to see someone plugging an
auction for used door handles or something equivilant.  A complete set of
Euro bumpers?  Sure.  Boring stuff, no.

Having said that I did plug my own auction a few months ago for a passenger
side dash tray for a non-AC mk2.

Just figured I would ask.  It seems like we never plugged our own
auctions(ebay etc) but lately
there is a fair amount of it.  I haven't done it, but if the majority
doesn't see anything
wrong with it, then what the hell.  Do we have a rule on this?
