16v has more power when motor is cold?

That sounds like a really interesting idea.. let us know how it goes!

BTW if you have an MFA it would be cool to take out the cold start valve
temporarily and put the ambient temperature sensor down inside the hole
where it mounts so you could monitor intake air temperature. That would be
one very unscientific way of determining how successful the heat shield
was at keeping intake air cool.

That makes me wonder.. what would happen if you were to get some soft
copper tubing and coil it around the intake runners, then run it back to a
small electric water pump, reservoir and a miniature radiator (old heater
core?). You could have an "intake air cooling system".. Hey, it worked for
the overclocking crowd with their water cooled CPUs :)
