if its a non-factory lsd tranny (before about 85), it wont have the =
springs, and the flanges will be able to move in and out a bit.

Subject: need help - too much play on the driveshaft flanges??

Raffi and I are knee deep in replacing his clutch and he noticed that =
there's a good 3mm play on both his driveshaft flanges. There still =
connected to tranny. AFAIK, there shouldn't be any play, right? Would =
this be symptomatic of drive flange seal failure or something else? Is =
it something that can be fixed with out cracking the tranny open?

  Thanks in advance!

  Jeff
