16v has more power when motor is cold?

I'm curious;
what does warming up to 80deg C before more than 1/3 throttle and 3K rpm =
do? (or not do)
I have thought about this many times, over the years, and cannot come up =
with a reason to do this.

I think in that Scirocco dealer video it said 0-50 in
the 5sec range. 0-50 in the 8v was 7.0sec I think
