Yes it is a typo.  Basically the motors are identical and the 2 hp increase=
 on
the RD came from more aggressive mapping in the CIS-E computer.  Audi ran=
 this
same map but VW wasn't sure, and went a little mild so they had the HT('85=
=20
GTI/GLI)
and then the next year changed it.  Oddly enough, the way to update the HT=
=20
to RD is
to clip, if I can remember right, the wire coming from Pin 11 on the=20
computer.  I remember
this because it was an article in VW&Porsche and I had an '85 GTI at the=
 time.
