well the highest compression being 190 and the lowest compression being 150,
the differential tbetween those two is only 40 psi, I beleive the max
differential is 48 psi, so its tired, but not dead, a bearing job and a ring
job (piston cleaning bore of chambers, would be sufficient to bring that all
back to good compression and give it another 150K miles of life, until a
full rebuild is done to it!

but then again that is my and only mine opinion.

I know theres been allot of these questions on the list, but I haven't
been able to catch them since I've been moving into my new house this past
week. I just ran a compression check and here is what I got. it's in order
from 1 to 4: 150, 170, 170, 190. This is on a 88' 16v with about 200k +/-
maybe 10k at the most. Is this what I should be seeing or can anyone deduce
anything else from this. The car feels strong when she's running so I'm not
sure what to make of it other then maybe worn rings. Any help would be
appreciated.

  William
