problem with throttle cable / gas pedal connection......STILL!

ok, well i had this problem a while back, kinda scary when it forst slips out and the pedal goes to the floor.
anyway here's how i fixed the problem. goto lowes or home depot and get a black rubber cork that will barely squeeze into the hole. then not the fully inserted position and cut a small grove around the cork a little further up(thicker end. then squeeze this cork into the pedal until the ring slips into the notch you cut. got it? good. now cut the xcess cork off on both sides of the ring. then take a small drill bit of a hot nail and put a hole through the mubddle of the new hard rubber insert you have made. the with a little bit of pressure squeeze the throttle cable into the hole and viola! no more problems.
