Yes, innitially it would spike the EGT reading when the lean condition
begins but when the fuel preessure runs low, it cools down as power is
lost. 

Thats why im thinking his fuel pump is going bad when it gets heat into
it. I fell its fuel related at thevery least. Fuel pickup screen clogged
or picking up intank debris. Something along those lines.
