Flash of the blindingly obvious needed

Hi,
     Since I'm playing around and buying new bits to cure the oil puking
illness, I figured this was a good time to upgrade the grounds.  So, how, in
the name of the horse-power gods, do I remove the bottom half of the air
breather assembly?  It looks as though there are 2 connectors holding it in
place towards the front and keeping me from getting at the other end of the
chassis ground.  Am I missing something really blatant?  I can't really see
what's in there, and the obvious choices in Allen wrenches don't grab anything.
     Any help would be greatly apreciated.
