So after getting a 16v, a TT exhaust, and a 4K tranny, my 85 decided that it
still wasn't fast enough. This weekend, the muffler's intake pipe decided to
break! Sure, it sounds and performs badass up top, but the low end loss and
sound is pretty horrible.

This exhaust is the 2.25" aluminized one with the super turbo muffler (The
~$200 16v scirocco exhaust). It's only about 9 months old as well...

First I'd like to know if this is a warranty type of thing? Should I be
looking to get a new muffler? If so, can I upgrade to a Borla and pay the
difference? Or should I just have this POS welded back together?

The SuperTurbo has a lifetime warranty, and they usually last longer than that, give them a call...

The Borla for the S216V is ridiculously expensive, and you might want to consider the Flowmaster.
