Starts good, cold idle bad, warm idle good

Jason, thanks for the reply. I can't believe I forgot to mention that
this is a 16V. I think I have found the big problem. On the back end of
the throttle body, below the idle mixture screw is a vacuumn port. Only
on my car there is nothing attached to it obviously creating a vacuumn
leak. Can someone tell me:

1. What vacuumn line attaches to this port on the throttle body, ie
where does it go?
2. What vacuumn line attaches to the vacuumn port on the intake boot
closest to the throttle body ie where does it go?
3. What vacuumn line attaches to the vacuumn port on the intake boot
remaining on the intake boot go. This is right beside the other port but
on the inside of the two whereas the other one is on the outside of the
two ie at end of the intake boot just before it connects to the throttle
body.

Sorry, this is long and involved but I need help because I've read the
Bentley, Haynes, and Chilton's till I am cross-eyed and cannot see where
these go. I blocked them off for now and the engine seems to be running
better. I think two of the vacuumn line go to the charcol canister but
that confuses me as well. One line goes to a tee and then into the
passenger side fender well, the other line goes through a tee and then
into the drivers side fender well.

4. Where is the engine code on the block? I think an '89 was swapped
into this car and so I want to make sure of it's code. I've looked,
cleaned, and looked but do not see it.

Help an apparently blind man out...please!

Wes,

Don't know if you've gotten reply already but if it's an 8V I would swap
out
the idle bypass valve on the backside of the intake manifold and
possibly
the warm-up regulator on the front of the block with the two additional
fuel
lines running to it from the airflow meter.

Hope that's of some use.

Later,
Jason
