According to edmunds.com, "TMV" (true market value) for a new GTI in my
SoCal zipcode is $18,532, at a list price of $19,460 - or over $1k below
sticker. These numbers are adjusted by zip to reflect what buyers are
paying in a particular region. So Shawn, I'm not sure what you meant
about not being able to buy one at the price stated in the earlier message?

I've found these TMV numbers to be pretty accurate - it was pretty much
right on when I leased my Passat 2 years ago, and in looking at A4's
lately, it also reflects what people are paying according to scuttlebut at
audiworld.com.

Check out what Edmunds has to say for your zip..
