Motor oil recommendations

I like 20w50 as well, but there is the issue of your climate. If I were
you, I believe I'd run 20w50 durring the late spring, summer and early
fall months and then play it by ear. When it chills up, see if your
lifters make excessive noise. That could justify a lighter oil for those
cold months. Just be sure you use a quality oil.

On a related topic:
A recent study I read put conventional Castrol near the bottom. As far
as other conventionals, Valvoline and Mobile were near the top with,
believe it or not, Wolfs Head!?! Just food for thought.
