Knock sensor

You can run without a knock sensor as long as you use 91+ octane (the
higher the better)  Also keep your ignition timing on the conservative
side (around 6deg BTDC).  I ran a 10:1 HT code engine without pinging
following these "rules"...

There's lots of GTI's and GLI's in the wrecking yards to pull the parts
from.  Just make sure you grab as much of the harness as you can.  It's
a bit of a pain in the ass to remove if you try and get the entire
harness.  I chopped the wires that were going to the CIS-E "brain" to
make it easier to remove the rest in one piece.  I just sorted out all
the wiring in my car for the knock sensor setup today - once I got the
harness all separated, and figured out which connectors I would be
using off of each harness it wasn't so bad...  Let me know if you have
