mint Mk1 for sale...here in Germany



It looks like the 50bhp 1.1L carb engine that was the base
engine in europe for the first few model years of the Mk1 (Scirocco L to
be precise). It leans 15 degrees forward, which gives the same weight
distribution as the larger engines which are canted backwards.
The large  square so-called "euro-lights" distinguish the car as a base
model as well..
Specs on the 1.1L (according to my magazine articles from 1974):
a 1093cc, 69.5mm x 72mm with a 8.0:1 compression ratio
developing 50 bhp @ 6000 and 59.3 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm.
Top speed is 80 mph, definitely not safe on the autobahn!
Vehicle weight is 1655 lbs, though, the lightest of all
Sciroccos..
