5 lug convertion kit?

  i tried pricing this one out myself. doesn't seem too bad, honestly.
you'd have to get the hubs and associated brake parts from some mid-90's
vr6 car (passat glx comes to mind). the rear would be a straight forward
swap (brake connections notwithstanding) as the drum and disc cars use
the same stub axles. the front would be just as easy except for the one
thing, the bearings. seems that the vr6 bearings are a little bigger.
can't swap knuckles so i'm stuck at this point. one'd have to find some
place that could match a bearing up, inner for the vr6 and outer for the
4 cyl.
  the only other thing i've encountered was an adapter set. would've
ended up cost about $300 and spaced the wheel out about 2", iirc. okay
if you're running wheels like allyn's, but not stock sized wheels. at
that point, too, reliablity comes into play. at least with a swap, the
rear disc brak conversion would be done (on an 8v).
