mint Mk1 for sale...here in Germany

Hello Marc,

you're right, the Scirocco should get a good new home & owner.

I do not own this car at the moment and I only know it from the pictures so far.
It's located in northern Germany, about 5 hours away from me.
Yesterday it was still for sale.

I don't know about import-procedures of older cars into the USA  but that was
already discussed on the list and it should be in the archives.

Hi Dirk,

We really should get this imported into the USA. It only costs $800 to
have a passenger car shipped from Frankfurt to Baltimore, Maryland, USA
according to the company that sipped my Benz.....

Is it safe to assume that shipping an older car like a Mk1 would be
easier to get through US customs then a newer car?
