Cross Drilled, Slotted, both, neither?

Well for the front if you have the choice I would go with stock, why because
the price of the slotted/drilled ones are 2x the price of a OEM rotor from
AutoZone.
But in the rear (I have 16v rotors on my 8v) the price difference is truly
minimum.
Is it better for street use? good question and though I have had my
Zimmerman in the rear for some time, I cannot answer the question without a
biased answer, why? to be honest, I wanted something to show, they look
great.
Do they make a difference, I cannot say, but I have a set on mine.
Now does my scirocco brake better because of it, I can only answer this,
your braking system is only has good as your weakest part; I changed from a
20mm M/C with 9.4 and drums, and oem brake pads to a much improved 22mm
Corrado m/c with 10.1 front and 8.9 rear cross drilled rotors,Mintex red
pads, and stainless steel lines, and I do know that my car does stop in 1/2
the distance it used to.
The question remains, is it because of the rear rotors? most likely the
rotors are part of the reason why it does, but I believe that the whole
system in its entirety make the real difference.
The last question which I did not address was, will I spend the money to
upgrade for street use the front rotors next time to cross drilled?
Probably not, 19$/e at AutoZone versus 55$/e for cross drilled. Would I buy
cross drilled for street used and permit me to show off all wheels at
shows.. perhaps, I have yet to come to that question yet myself.

I know, I did not truly answer you question, because I cannot, but I could
only share my opinion.

=>I need new rotors so I thought I'd get a few opinions on the differences

=>there is always cross drilled and slotted and then the final choice is
