Wheel spacer Q



Allyn, you've got some of your story backwards. An increased rear track will
effectively *soften* the spring rate because of the greater amount of
leverage enacted upon the springs. The rear roll rate will increase just
slightly. Still, the wider track will contribute towards greater grip in the
back. This, in turn,  will promote an *understeer* condition.

That's one of the reasons why you never see wide-ass rear tires/tracks on
FWD cars. Well... not those that are built to handle, anyway. FWIW, our
stock front track is several mm wider than the rear. That is no arbitrary
arrangement.
