Air-shroud vs non again (sorry)...2 ?'s

My 84 has an air-shroud head. The injectors themselves are no different
than the injectors on a non-air shroud head. i.e the injector has the
one large sealing O-ring. Later engines had an additional small O-ring
on the tip of the injector, but this is not necessary for the air shroud
head.
If it isn't clear, the air shroud head is different in that it has an
air port that runs from end to end on the head behind the injectors and
allows air to enter around the outside of the injector seat or insert.
If you remove the injector insert you can see the port just below the
threads and above the seat for the insert.
The injector seats are NOT the same between an air shroud head and a
non-air shroud head.
The orange things would be the injector seats and you are correct that
the air port should be connected anywhere on the engine side of the
thottle plate.
