spoiler BE WARNED bullshit

I wish the guy I bought a transmission from 5 years ago packed things as
well as it seems Dirk does. This guy shipped to me in a cardboard box
filled with styrofoam peanuts. I didn't take it out of the box for a mon=
th,
and when I did I found out that UPS had dropped it and the ear that holds
the clutch cable in place had broken into 2 pieces and come off of the
housing. Also one of the through bolt holes on the 5th gear cover had be=
en
hit so hard that it completely mashed the end of it closed.

When I called him he asked me to find some place to weld it up, when I to=
ld
him it would be impossible to weld the thing back together he told to mak=
e a
clame with UPS. In the end I ended up having to tear the thing apart and
rebuild it using the casing and 5th gear cover from my grenaded tranny.

Over packaging is always better than under packaging.
