I'm bored, so I'm gonna tell y'all a story:

Me and a friend were talking the other day about rare Volkswagens and the
discussion moved to MK I Scirocco. That made me remember a junkyard I went
to about a year ago that had a whole mess of waterpumpers...

Naw, he was in California....:)

It is a shame that almost everytime I go to the wreckers here in the Bay
Area there are usually 2-3 Mk1 Sciroccos.
Whats worse is that most of them are simply discarded.....no body damage, no
rust, no visual mechanical problems.....just not new enough for the local
members of the wealthiest state in the union. Trust me if I had land and a
lot of extra cash, I'd buy them up and store them like that guy Sam in
Germany. I bet I could find/store more than triple the # of Mk1's he has in
just a couple years. :(

I do try to pull hard to find parts when I have extra cash to store or
sell/give away when they are needed.
