Speedo

If this is the nasty screeching noise that comes up on this list every
year when the weather gets cold, then it is *not* the speedo cable. 
Been there, done that.  Twice.  I replaced the speedo cable on my 89
Scirocco that had the problem and it did not go away.  Eventually it
finally quit doing it on its own a month or so later.  It is the cluster
itself making the noises.  Wait until it gets warm again.  It will go
away.  :-)
