Lining up the hood...

You know what we used to do in the body shop I worked in? Line up the hood 
the way you did and if the side gaps arent right open the hood and shove it 
sideways a few times. You will just slightly bend the hinges until the gaps 
match. Also almost any bolt hole has just a little "play" in it. You really 
need someone else to hold the hood for you when you adjust it. You could 
loosen one hinge from the firewall just a little and put some pressure on it 
sideways and quickly tighten the hinge without letting it move up or down, 
just sideways. Then do the same to the other hinge. Hope you can picture what 
I'm saying.
