I'm guessing it's because you are using a different mail address at home.
The list rejects mails if the originating address isn't subscribed to the
list. It's to prevent people spamming the list.

If you go the list area of scirocco.org which is this URL
(http://neubayern.net/mailman/listinfo/scirocco-l) you can subscribe with
your new address and alter it's options so that no mail is delivered to it.
Then you can post from that address.

Is there a reason I can send mails to the list from work but my home machine
gets the mail back rejected ?  I triple checked the address....
