Cheapass faster steering ratio idea??

  I gotta' say:  you are THINKIN'!!!!
Unfortunately, it won't make any difference.  You could run a 10ft tie rod
doglegged to the front bumper and back and the "ratio" wouldn't change.
The ratio is determined by the distance from the strut pivot centerline to
the tie rod mounting hole in the steering arm, and that hasn't changed.
Sorry, but don't stop exploring.
