Hi all,

I recently acquired an '87 16v with a bad motor. I'm putting in a 2.0 =
this weekend. I plan to change the timing belt, rear main seal, and =
valve cover gasket before installing it. I have to change the exhaust =
manifold as well (the 2.0 came from a GLI). Beyond these things and =
what's below, does anyone have any tips/suggestions/warnings/omens/ =
about this conversion?
Special thanks to Brett, who I originally emailed directly, for his =
suggestions to make sure everything is working right (OXS, idle =
stablizer, etc.) and make sure all electrical connections are clean. =
Also, the flywheel from the 1.8 should work for the 2.0 (the 2.0 was =
sold without it).
Any information is greatly appreciated!
