WTB: Basic Transportation

hey everyone. i am in need of some basic transpiration. i need a car that i 
will be able to drive while i do this engine swap. it doesnt need to be a 
Ferrari (although that would be quite nice!), it just needs to be reliable. 
i dont want to go into the four thousand dollar range, since i will be 
turning around and selling it and i am kinda close to broke right now. i 
would prefer a VW, but i am open to anything (its only going to be 
temporary, right?) i am willing to travel 75 miles from Pismo Beach, SoCal, 
possibly more, it depends. can anyone help me out? tia!!
