Update on the Scirocco

Well, I had the car towed today to get the exhaust and
e-brake cables to find out that the CV's are torn and
I think the driveshaft is bad also. Total cost for
just this is about 1000 dollars b/c of labor. If only
I was able to get the e-brake fixed this summer. I
found out though that the parts holding the e-brake
were rusted making it hard to remove the cables. I am
wondering now if its worth it to fix all the problems,
this is not including the body work defects I have
that I want to fix. I am starting to think that
finding a non rusted example of a pre85 Scirocco
8v(need sport seats) in FL is much cheaper and better
than my northern Scirocco thats needs a new fender b/c
rust is eating it up and some big dent on it. Plus
with some body shop defects from the accident repair I
found about this summer. In other words I like my
Scirocco, but feel that there are nicer ones out there
that I can get than fixing mine.
