Air Compressor - what to buy?

thats why i made a lil enclosure with dynamat and a fan to move the air and
cool the compressor ..
it tends to get nice and warm ..
anyway .
most painting aplication require 100 cfm @ 40Psi
that ususaly depends from paint gun to paint gun ..
i sprayed my car like that and i got almost no overspray at all ..
now it also depends what kind of paint are u using.
i used base clear at a 50-50 mix ( 50% paint and 50% thiner )
the paint came out almost the same as a pro shop would have painted my car
...
i suggest gettin PPG base and clear
it worked almost perfect for me
the paint was tacked in 20-45 ( touch dry - it pretty much how thick u laid
it down the thicker the longer it takes to dry )
on that topic i say do more thin layers because it will dry faster and
theres less of a chance for runs ...
try to keep the base at a 60-20-20 mix (60% clear - 20% hardener/activator -
20% thinner )
this will hep curing process and it will also add a nice shine .
2 or 3 layers of clear at 15-15 mins appart
trust me ..
i painted quite a few cars !
and all of them came out almost flawless ( just a few bugs thats all .. but
they all came out a few weeks latter when e buffed out the car )
anyway ..
good luck
